The painter LIU exhibited at Unicorn.
Last weekend, Wanqing LIU, an excellent Chinese painter, exhibited his paintings for 3 days at the Unicorn real estate gallery, which was a pioneer in Luxembourg in declining its website in Mandarin.
After Hong - Kong and Japan, he chose Luxembourg for his first in Europe and made us discover the traditional Chinese art through his works.
Among the guests who attended the event: His Excellency the Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of China, high officials of Asian banks, European painters and the circle of merchants.
The event was a huge success and brought together nearly 100 people who came to participate in the conferences commented by the Doctor of Art History, Mrs LIOU PLANQUAIS. The public could discover the traditional Chinese art and the various techniques used by the artist. The visitors could attend the demonstration of his talents, directly from his ephemeral workshop installed for the occasion.
His compositions dedicated to the traditional green landscapes, the snowy landscapes of Northeast China and the old Hutongs (emblematic alleys) of Beijing reveal a palette of unclassifiable emotions.
His background
Born in 1962 in Beijing, he began painting at the age of 8. After his studies at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, he continued his apprenticeship with famous artists such as Xueshi Bai, Chuanzhang Guo, Xi Xu and Enshui Zhao.
Today, his consecration confers him the most prestigious titles: Vice-President of the Research Institute of Painting and Art of China, Vice-Secretary General of the Research Institute of Chinese Calligraphy... Moreover, Mr. LIU is certified by the "International Art System JSO9000A" standard and received the title of "Excellent Artist of Chinese Painting".
